To be eligible for entry, ciders or perries must be available retail in Australia. If you are exporting to Australia you are welcome to get in contact to make sure we are aware of your products. And from the opposite perspective... Does anyone have a contact and email address within Angry Orchard who do export to Australia? I've tried using their website to make contact but the system appears to only handle US email traffic. Short of pretending to come from one of the US states and perhaps giving an imaginary phone number there doesn't seem to be a way of getting through. Contact off-list is fine if you'd prefer. Does anyone know where I could buy some? I'm in Canada on the west coast. I suspect that graft wood over the border may not get through without paperwork.... Any suggestions welcomed. I've tried calling and emailing pico summerland numberous times over he past 8 months or so with no response. Even tried submitting an order with still no response. I'm not an orchard, just cider enthusiast. Thank you! Gloria ------------------------------ Subject: Re: Dabinett or yarlington mill for the west coast? From: Dick Dunn Date: Fri, 28 Apr 2017 09:11:33 -0600 re Dabinett vs Yarlington Mill... Gloria Bell asked this question a couple digests ago and there haven't been replies, so I'll take a stab. Even though I can't grow either Dabinett or Yarlington Mill reliably here, I've worked with both. Anyway, Gloria asked: > ...would like to put in a bunch of either yarlington > mill or dabinett. Have mm106 (which might be better for dabinett as it > seems to be a weak grower here) and m9. > > Suggestions on which is better workhorse or better flavour overall? > Which would you choose? I'd go for Dabinett, assuming you're going to want more tannic apples. (I always figure that I can blend away from too much tannin, but if tannin is lacking there's no way to magick it up.) It's also just a nice apple to work with. Also, Yarlington Mill juice is said to have a somewhat quirky character, which again suggests if you're going for one or the other, choose Dabinett. - -- Dick Dunn rcd@talisman.com Hygiene, Colorado USA ------------------------------ Subject: FW: GLINTCAP results From: Dick Dunn Date: Sat, 29 Apr 2017 09:22:42 -0600 Results from GLINTCAP (Great Lakes Cider and Perry) competition, 20-21 April 2017.
